Nashville Fire Department
The Nashville Fire Department, under the direction of Chief Stephen Halford, supports the mission and vision of the Nashville PAD Program in two important ways. EMS/Fire personnell are allowed and encouraged to volunteer with the Nashville PAD Program's efforts to place AEDs in community areas and train people to use them, but NFD has its own PAD Program effort as well, working to put AEDs in metro buildings, trained "intended users" and get emergency action plans put into place.

The Nashville Fire Department's Emergency Medical Services (EMS) under the medical direction of Corey Slovis, M.D. keeps track of survivors of sudden cardiac arrest in Nashville.
