2007 was a very successful first year. Help us succeed in 2008:

Our greatest needs now are as follows:

·         Site visitor: someone with basic training (we can give over the phone or in person) to visit a location that is a recipient of an AED device. This person may deliver the device, or perform followup guided through the Nashville PAD website. Includes: registering AED online through 9-1-1, checking expiration dates on the device, checking on device location and more.

·         Event planner: We have larger events, like the annual CPR/AED Saturday event, and we have smaller recognition or training events and need volunteers to help plan the details.

·         Event volunteer: We always are in need of instructor volunteers as well as just folks to lend a helping hand at events. These are fun events and everyone reports they are very rewarding!

·         Board member/committee chairs: We have special needs for people with special skills who are willing to join our cause for longer periods of time (a year minimum) to serve on our board and to help lead committees. Critical needs right now are in the areas of Finance, Events, volunteer services and fund raising.

The Nashville Public Access Defibrillation (PAD) Program is made up of many volunteers from around the community. Some 40 individuals attend meetings and events at different times of the year. Meetings and committees are lead by a core group of executive board members:

Chair: Carole Bartoo, R.N.
Vice-Chair: Tim Lankford
Secretary: Claire Evans
Medical Director: Mark Meredith, M.D.
Board Member: Jackie Harper, R.N.
Board Member: Tim Jones: Ph.D.
