| Members of several churches, one school and the Nashville Zoo hold the defibrillators received from the Nashville PAD's grant program on Sept. 6, 2008. The grant was made possible through a generous donation from the Saint Thomas Health Foundation. |

Part of the mission of the Nashville PAD Program is to increase the number of community AEDs. Any organization that serves as a public place of gathering-- be it a church, community center school or other type of facility-- can apply to be the recipient of one of the PAD Program's grant AEDs. We require that your organization prove need or have nonprofit standing.
Because the Nashville PAD Program has limited funding at this time, we also require that each organization be within Davidson County and that they apply during a grant period. We currently have one granting effort underway, utlizing funds from the Nashville Predators in an effort to supply AED devices to youth sporting facilities. There is also funding available for other non-profit organzations. The deadline for application for these grants is January 1, 2009.
