Award Recognitions



Part of the mission of the Nashville PAD Program is to recognize those who have acted in a time to need to help save a life using CPR and an AED. Here are some of the recipients of our past awards.

David Nollner and the Metro Nashville Airport Authority: Nollner received the AHA Heart Saver Award will a representative of the airport authority was the recipient of the PAD Program's Action Award in April 2007, because the airport, with 30 AEDs and a team of officers prepared to use them, has saved some seven lives since they instituted a PAD Program. In some cases (see below) citizens did the save.

Dr. Don Griffin performed CPR with Beth Ramsey, RN on Coach Kelley Swift who collapsed in Spring of 2006

Harding Academy Athletic Director Robert Jemison applied the AED and revived coach Swift after a single shock

Kentucky cardiologist Dr. Tullio Emmanulele placed the AED and Bonnie Collier, a nurse at Centennial Women’s Hospital initiated CPR to resucitate Roger Harvey at the Metro Nashville Airport in December of 2006.
